Mr. John F. Merriweather departed this life on January 10, 2019 at Methodist Hospital at the tender age of 48 years old.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, Wilbert Tyler; grandmother, Jill Hopson; great nephew, Chrishwon Bullock Jr.; and nephew, Brandon Tyler
Johnny leaves to cherish, son, Juston Crowe; mother, Stephanie Hopson Henriques; father, James Merriweather; brother, Steven Merriweather; sisters, Julie (Kenneth) Smith, Lisa (Vincent) Tyler, Crystal (Kenneth) Brandon; grandmother, Virgie Barker; grandchildren, Justice, Juston Jr. and Jayda Crowe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Mr. John Fitzgerald Merriweather was born July 12, 1970 in Indianapolis, IN to James Merriweather and Stephanie Ann Hopson. Johnny received his education in the Indiana Township School System. Johnny also received a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. Johnny professed his love and hope in Christ and was baptized at St. Rita Catholic Church. Johnny lived in Indianapolis all his life, where he worked for a number of years for Sparkle Cleaning Service before becoming too ill to work. Johnny was a very caring and loving son, father, brother, and uncle to family and friends. He would bring much laughter and fun to all. Although Johnny brought joy to all he loved being alone. A man with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. However, you would not want to get on his bad side. Johnny will truly be missed by all and remembered forever.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at noon at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to immediately follow at New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
